Christopher A. Caramello, KHS has combined his formal training in accountancy and business with his passion for retail to establish

C.A. Caramello & Company — a multidimensional enterprise grounded in tradition, quality, and financial integrity.

Mr. Anthony J. Caramello (born Ciaramello) hailed from Federal Hill, and Joan L. Lynch from Olneyville, Providence, Rhode Island. The couple moved to East Greenwich in the 1950s to raise their family. Anthony built a diverse career—selling construction equipment, shoes, records, and ultimately finding his calling in home furnishings. He rose to prominence at Jordan Marsh, where he was nationally recognized for his exceptional sales and service. He had the gift of gab, a sharp sense of humor, and was also an excellent cook known for his hospitality.

Mrs. Caramello was a talented painter, dedicated homemaker, and above all, a master seamstress. One of the family’s most cherished stories involves Anthony pointing out a beautiful dress in a downtown Providence shop window on one of their first dates. His future wife studied it carefully and by their next date, recreated it entirely from memory—no pattern, just skill and vision.

Christopher shared a particularly close bond with his grandfather, who inspired him to pursue music, specifically the piano and organ, which he taught himself. Anthony had himself played drums in the 1940s in local swing bands around Providence, instilling a love for music that would carry on.

Christopher's maternal grandfather Camille (1922 - 1998) of Woonsocket was not only a respected local watchmaker but expert in textiles; having worked in various factories in his youth.

Christopher’s musical journey formally began when he joined the children’s choir at Saint Gregory the Great Church in Warwick, where he was mentored by Anita L. DeLuca, the parish organist and choir director.

Anita would become a major influence in Chrisotpher life both personally and professionally. First, having played a formative role in nurturing his love for sacred music and encouraged him to pursue it more seriously. With her support, Christopher secured his first church music position as a freshman in high school—at Saint Francis de Sales Church in North Kingstown, which happened to be his grandparents’ longtime parish.

Marissa, like her husband, was also the beloved only grandchild of her paternal grandparents, Peter and Maria DiBiase of Cranston.

Her grandfather, Peter DiBiase, was born in Cranston to Joseph and Josephine (Iannotti) DiBiase, and worked for over 30 years in Rhode Island state service. He began as a correctional officer and later served with the RI State Marshal’s office, retiring in 1997 with the rank of Colonel—the highest in the division. In 1975, he received a Governor’s commendation after being injured while helping to foil an escape from the Providence County Courthouse. Earlier in life, he played minor league baseball in the 1950s with the Cleveland Indians organization. He was also a longtime American Legion Baseball coach for the Auburn Post of Cranston and a diehard New York Yankees fan.

Encouraged by both sets of grandparents—including her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Marion—Marissa pursued her love of music with dedication and grace.

It was there, during a St. Joseph’s Day concert in 2011, that he met his future wife, Marissa R. DiBiase, a gifted soprano soloist performing with the Gregorian Concert Choir under the direction of Msgr. Anthony Mancini. The bond formed through sacred music would grow into a lifelong partnership.

Christopher earned his degree in Accounting from Rhode Island College in January 2018, completing the program in just three and a half years—a testament to his discipline and work ethic. He paid his own way through school by working steadily as a church musician, carrying on the values instilled in him by his grandparents: hard work, frugality, and pride in one’s craft.

Christopher joined Michael Integlia & Company, a respected Rhode Island real estate development firm, where he learned firsthand the inner workings of business operations, finance, and private enterprise. This formative experience laid the foundation for his next role as Associate Controller for the Quonset Development Corporation in North Kingstown, where he oversaw complex public-private development initiatives within one of the state’s most vital economic hubs.

Meanwhile, the couple’s musical work flourished. In 2018, Rev. Angelo N. Carusi, KCHS, pastor of St. Rocco Church in Johnston, personally invited Christopher and Marissa to lead the parish’s music program, then in serious decline. Through their leadership, they revived and transformed the program—introducing a professional standard of sacred music, building collaborations with ensembles such as the Ocean State Summer Pops Orchestra (notably for their annual Christmas concert), and Bishop Hendricken High School. Their work brought renewed life, beauty, and reverence to the liturgies of a beloved community parish.

In 2022, the couple was married in a Nuptial Mass attended by nearly 500 guests and concelebrated by just shy of a dozen priests. The wedding was a celebration of their union, faith, and community. Two receptions followed: a joyous “public” celebration in Café Rocco, catered by the late Old Canteen (the first & only of its kind) of Federal Hill, and a formal gathering of 250 guests at the historic Hope Club in Providence.

In 2021, Christopher and Marissa were invested into the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, a papal order of knighthood dating back to the 11th century. The Order is dedicated to supporting the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and Christian presence in the Holy Land through charitable works, spiritual formation, and service. Their investiture as Knight and Dame represents a lifelong commitment to the Church, the Holy Land, and Catholic service.

Marissa is a dedicated respiratory practitioner with three years of clinical experience, specializing in critical care and pulmonary rehabilitation. A 2023 graduate of the New England Institute of Technology, she earned the prestigious "Best of Tech" award in Respiratory Care and was honored as the institute’s Tech Scholar of the Year, its highest academic recognition.

In addition to her clinical work, Marissa serves on the board of the Rhode Island Society for Respiratory Care (RISRC) as the Rhode Island Delegate to the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), where she advocates for advancement and excellence in the field.

Before entering respiratory care, Marissa spent six years as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), specializing in voice disorders—a natural extension of her background as a professionally trained soprano. With over two decades of performance experience, she is a sought-after vocalist across New England and continues to share her musical talents as the Assistant Music Director at St. Rocco’s Church in Johnston, Rhode Island. Marissa holds multiple degrees and certifications spanning the fields of healthcare and the arts. Known for her passion for leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration, she brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and artistic insight to every role she undertakes.

Professional memberships are more than symbolic—they are active networking spaces where the couple cultivates meaningful relationships with Rhode Island's civic, business, and cultural leaders. The Caramellos continue to expand their professional and personal network, always seeking opportunities for growth and collaboration. Christopher and Marissa are proud members and supporters of several civic, fraternal, and cultural organizations that reflect their commitment to community and heritage, including:

Formally established in 2023, Terrace Financial LLC evolved out of Christopher’s years of freelance accounting work beginning in college. While many sought basic bookkeeping and tax prep, he identified a greater need—affordable controller-level financial oversight for small businesses that couldn’t justify a full-time hire. Terrace Financial was built on that principle: offering strategic advising, hands-on financial planning, and trusted referrals to legal, insurance, and other professional services that clients might not otherwise access.

Parallel to this professional growth was the development of Substantive Supply RI. Initially sparked by Christopher’s personal taste in home furnishings, the business quickly expanded. People began turning to him not only for style but also for value—and that led to furniture sourcing, home liquidations, and full-scale buyouts of estates, storage units, and shuttered businesses. Today, Substantive Supply operates both as a resale outlet (including its eBay storefront) and as a liquidation partner for clients across Rhode Island and southeastern New England. Inventory now spans vintage clothing, office furniture, décor, and more—each item hand-selected to meet both practical and aesthetic needs.

Their private musical services are offered through Ceremonial Testimonials, a distinguished ensemble specializing in music for weddings, funerals, corporate functions, and other events across New England. Renowned for their professionalism, artistic excellence, and reverence for tradition, they are frequently sought after for both liturgical and secular occasions. In addition to performing, they coordinate a network of professional musicians as subcontractors, ensuring high-quality ensembles tailored to each event’s needs. More information about their offerings and client testimonials can be found on their Ceremonial Testimonials profile on The Knot.
